Although Toomp lost early to Dr. Dre during the first round of VIBE's Greatest Producer Alive Tournament, he still shared his opinions on the competition. "That’s great to put me with Dre. I’m very privileged. Shit, yall just put me up against a champ. I don’t know what the numbers were like, but I betcha I went out swinging," he says with a laugh.
"We both are great producers. He might have sold more records, but my discography is longer. You can give it to Dre on that lineup. I got way more joints out than a Shock Gee, more than Quik. Come on now. I will slaughter those guys careers for real. Name more than two songs David Banner produced."

Trash talk, buuuut nahh. I mean, he should def know about them, and he hella propped Dre up. But to specifically call them out too was like come one though...I think he's serious enough to get a "fuck you"

beats to me...he was able to combine his personal style with the soulful style of the rest of the album and it REALLY worked well together on that song.

I run that song right after the song he did with Nas ("N.I.G.G.E.R. (The Slave And The Master)") around the same time. The album version was even doper than the leaked version, by throwing that bassline over it.

but Cam is too cheap and it's probably too late anyway. _________________________________________ The Combat Jack Show is THE best hip-hop related internet radio show Catch up http://pncradio.tumblr.com/

Cam would automatically be mainstream again and he would basically be rapping over more well produced versions of many of the beats he's rapped on in the past. If I knew Cam had interest in buying beats from A-listers I'd probably be on twitter harassing him about this. _________________________________________ The Combat Jack Show is THE best hip-hop related internet radio show Catch up http://pncradio.tumblr.com/

toomp is probably, on the low, one of my favorite producers right now. if "can't tell me nothin'" wasn't testament enough to just how crazy dude is with the beats, then there's the older stuff with t.i. and them, the tracks with charles hamilton, "say hello" off american gangster, the backwudz/killer mike cut...SO many dope joints.
i wish he'd do an entire album with tip or someone like that.
