I caught the Experiment live at The New Parish in Oakland a little more than week ago and was amazed. I love the fusion of styles and influences on "Black Radio". "Cherish The Day", "Gonna Be Alright (F.T.B.)", "Why Do We Try", and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" are my favorite cuts on the album, but the whole album is solid front to back.
What are your favorite tracks/moments on the album?
It's the only one that feels "experimental." I like the album, but it feels like an album full of "the sad soul song on a Jill Scott album." You know what I mean? It's like track 6 of the everyday, neo/contemporary R&B album. Slow, sad, long - NOT BAD, but not what I was expecting.
