Earl is still more technically gifted, but he's a littly too rappity for his own good. He still tries to pack too many words into a bar, and his verses are too dense.

That's just a personal preference.
Dense rhymes have been around since rap started. This is like saying Deck is clearly a better rapper than Ghostface. I can understand why "someone" might prefer Deck but there is nothing technically superior about his style.

blacking out on a track isn't all that different from a singer with a huge voice belting our every note of a song. Sometimes you gotta let that bitch breathe.

Thus, it's not a fair comparison.
It's like comparing the play during a game between a player who's been on the IR for a whole season to someone that's been starting for their squad during that whole time.
