"Ceelo Green announces Las Vegas Residency"

I might go to this.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The singer-songwriter behind the Grammy-winning 2010 single "Forget You" and the 2006 hit "Crazy" is settling down — at least for a few months — in a Las Vegas residency.

Cee Lo Green says his semi-permanent show, "Loberace," will launch Aug. 29 at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, and run at least through the end of the year.

"The production will combine Cee Lo's flamboyant sense of style and over-the-top creativity," producers said in a statement, adding that the show "will be as inspired and visually alive as Cee Lo Green."
Organizers say the show will include a musical journey through time, with tributes to Prince and the Rolling Stones. "Mind-twisting magic and sexified showgirls" are also on tap.

The 37-year-old Green, known for his soulful voice and extravagant costumes, is a coach on the NBC show "The Voice." His break came in the mid-1990s in the southern rap scene, but has evolved to include Gnarls Barkley, a collaboration between him and DJ-producer Danger Mouse, and his 2010 solo album "The Lady Killer."

The 28 shows through the end of December are scheduled for late nights, and some follow Planet Hollywood's "Peepshow" production in the 1,400-seat theater.

Green told the Las Vegas Review-Journal he sees himself continuing Sin City entertainment tradition.
"I love the city. I can't wait to be a part of it. I can't wait to be officially there," Green said in an interview. "From this generation I would just like to be able to carry on, and pick up the torch and continue to make Vegas a place to be."

Maybe some of his more famous GM related track? "Git Up Git Out"? "Beautiful Skin"? "Cell Therapy"?

I respect CeeLo, however his routine reeks of a Vegas lounge act. he can sing and still comes off like he is imitating a Singer.

so this ain't surprising in the slightest.

i find him overrated, however i do have to say I root for him because he found a way to make a name for himself more power to him.

give me a break, if and when Kellz is playing Vegas then I know he is past his prime and peak but sorry Jive Turkeys the Kang of R&B ain't going nowhere.

Ceelo is a make Believe Singer who still doesn't have a clue at getting it right and right now he is one of the most happening acts going and still he doesn't know how to operate it.

sorry turkey but none of my favorite acts are having to set up shop in Vegas as we speak.

I've seen him live and he definitely can entertain.

I might have to go to Vegas. Between this, Penn and Teller, The Beatles "Love" and Weatherperson's residency it could be fun.
