OTW > Thriller os pretty much the consensus among the vast majority of mainstream critics.

Saying that Off the Wall is Michael Jackson's best album is not a revolutionary or blasphemous statement... for the past decade it's been considered a simple statement of fact.

"thriller" peaks higher.
but "off the wall" is consistently awesome.

i've never been a huge fan of side one of "thriller."
even as a kid. I was all about side two,
but I only dug side one for "starting something."

can't remember the last time i've played side one of "thriller."
but I listen to "off the wall," from beginning to end, at least once a month.

Off the wall Produced arguably his strongest most soulful singing as a Adult artist on a Solo album, thriller though was where a Black Artist could take Pop music and showcase diversity and creativity.

i love them both and both those albums were and are game changers.

he could have retired after those 2 and said now match that and i can't think of too many albums seeing either of those albums since they came out.

P.Y.T., Baby Be Mine, Lady In My Life, and of course Billie Jean. But Off The Wall has Get On The Floor, like, I don't think enough people know about this song because it really is top 5 MJ for me.

Honestly I say it's a tie, because scrolling through WMP and seeing those track lists it's so hard to choose, but I can't fault anybody for picking one over the other because of the number of classics on both.

GET ON THE FLOOR BITCHES!!!

Roses >>> Violets. Food >>> Water. Shittin >>> Pissin!
Why you caint just like em both? Why it always gotta be one over the
other one? And why on THE LESSON is the most unpopular one is always
the better one? Why I gotta choose between shitting and pissin? Why
it always gotta one NIGGA claiming it's a FACT that shittin is better?
It's MICHAEL JACKSON! He released 2 great albums. Enjoy them suckers
and call it day! One ain't gotta be better fool!

The album between Off the Wall & Thriller.

Imo that album is better than both. Can play it from start to finish and love every track.
Whereas ive never been a big fan of both McCartney tracks on OTW and Thriller, and Burn This Disco Out is just ok.

But yeh Triumph deserves to be in this discussion too

however Destiny was a forerunner for off the wall as triumph was a forerunner for thriller so it cancels it out. IMO 78-82 on the album tip was unfadeable.
