yeah its tough telling a Kid who didn't Hear Whitney in her Prime that back in the day She would run Beyonce's Weave into the 3rd aisle. because when Whitney hit a note back in the day it was like a Mike Tyson shot to your temple. it was Ova!

the last album went platinum and all she and any Vet artist needs is that one song.

we got spoiled by that once in a lifetime voice.

even though some to middle part of her catelog had that Corn factor, her vocal instrument gave her a Pass because she had a voice which was no joke.


she is singing on the soundtrack and i look forward to it. IMO while Beyonce is sitting at the stairs by default there really hasn't been anyone else quite like Whitney. yeah Mariah has range and alot of hits, but she was always like the cold lunch Whitney IMO.

I'm saying her voice might be shot. That fiasco in Australia was less than 2 years ago... now hopefully it was just the drugs and if she cleans herself up for a good period of time she can heal those pipes... but there's no guarantee she's ever going to be able to sound like her old self night in night out under the demands of a real tour.

At least in europe, several of her shows was plagued by bad singing and people getting disa4ppointed, booing and even walking out. I doubt those people-who had been waiting years for this-will pay to see her again, especially since that tour also promised that her voice was in fine form. She supposedly sounded good for some shows but that arguably makes it worse because it becomes almost like a gamble to buy tickets and you might not want to take the chance.

I think it will take her some time/tours to rebuild peoples trust in her and I'm not sure she can do that before it's too late. Maybe she should play smaller venues next time rather than stadiums because if she do the latter, I suspect there will be a lot of empty seats...

and that is always the toughest part to accept because she should be like Dionne Warwick her cousin and gliding into that next phase of her career and then in 10 years doing the Tony bennitt route with ease instead of straining or being a hit and miss vocalist. just tough to take because She had it that "IT"
