all it really takes is a quick scan at livemixtapes.com every day and watching my upcoming release calendar on rateyourmusic otherwise. Some of them I only find out because of this board since they're too high brow for livemixtapes. I noticed I'm missing the Kool A.D. mixtape for example.

I would be a blogger but the site I'm trying to set up I'm told has never been coded before, or at least no one I've talked to who went to school for web design can think of anything they learned that would make the site possible. I've had a friend of a friend working on one pro bono for over a year now but I don't expect it to be done any time soon if ever.

I don't know anything about coding. I want the third list in my sig (and the 1,500+ reviews that fuel it, and the 15-20+ lists that spawn from it) to be able to auto-update themselves whenever I publish a review, so all I have to do is write everything down and then all the math is done for me. Right now my process, unless I'm doing a review outside of rap:

1. Write review/score tracks/score album
2. Add base scores and leaner scores on calc, get % scores for each then find average /5
3. Open Run That Shit, find where songs + album = on list, edit entry and submit
4. Open Geek Down, find artist, add new album to entry, calc new average, adjust rank if necessary
5. Open relevant yearly list, find where songs + album = on list, edit entry and submit

It takes about five minutes to do, which isn't too bad, but the process of having to go back and edit all those lists if I should ever change my mind about something is pretty unattractive. You can see on Run That Shit that I update new entries FAR more often than changes. If I could open up an edit page on an album, change a few songs scores if I've changed my mind on them, and have everything sourced from that review page edit and rearrange itself without my input that'd make me so happy.

I asked around a few different places IRL and online but nobody could give me any leads, so a very distant friend of mine that likes to challenge himself took it on, but I hear from him maybe every two months and I've only seen a preview of the layout so far. He's never said if he's figured out how to code that, and since he's freelancing and just graduated I'm really not trying to pressure him to do a favor for me considering the first time we met was he found out I was hooking up with his best friend in school who he was obsessed with, lol.

they just happen to be released for free via a mixtape site, so I figure the artists consider them mixtapes.

2010 and 2011 really flipped the game on its ass, hip-hop wise.
