Freddie really is one of those artists that will grow on you too. You're just gonna find yourself liking him more and more with each listen. There's just so much that he puts into making the music that most artists don't bother to do anymore. It's not all about how quickly you can make a record, it's about the quality of the record. I think I went a good year, year and a half where a Freddie Gibbs cd was the only cd being played in my whip. It's just the perfect "ride around while you're stoned" music... It got to the point where my girl was like, "I love Freddie, but can you please play sumthin else, just for a lil bit?"

To me (and lambo for that matter too)... Freddie's already one of the all-time greats (especially with that gangster shit), it's just a matter of us showing the rest of the world that we're right...

If you've ever seen Sha's rant about iscope, you can get the jist of what happened. And the fact that he's from Gary, and not LA, NYC, ATL or MIA, and wasn't being released under 50, Em, Dre, or anybody else for that matter, didn't help things... Also, the person that signed him ended up leaving the company and that basically left him alone over there...

I will say this though, it was an extremely valuable learning experience and Freddie is a better artist because of it... There's also still a lot of people over there that are fans of his...
