especially on the production tip. Judging by the snippets it should be better than Wu-Massacre at least.

I'd rather listen to these (pretty substantial) snippets than any song on that 'massacre'.

This sounds like it's fuckin' with Chamber Music good.. but probably better because instead of a live band trying to sound like early Wu, this just sounds like some dope emcees ripping over hard and soulful sample-based beats the way they were meant to. It's not trying to sound like old Wu. It's not trying to sound like what's current.

Plus, I feel Ghost and the Wu's steady presence keeps the Lox on point and at their best.

Sounds superb. Also, it looks as if there's 16 tracks on this compared to the 14 listing in your original post. Interested to see who did production on this. Is this dropping on Def Jam? I surprised they didn't try to fill this will radio friendly tracks is that's the case.

Really? I wasn't counting.

I got the list from 2 Dope Boyz, but I saw the vid on the OKP front page.

I don't think this is on Def Jam, although I could be wrong. A few internet sources say "eOne Music" is the label, but who knows.

Ghost and Sheek say they weren't really concerned with making a hot single for the radio on this one. They were touring together and ended up with a lot of these songs. It sounds like they were careful about picking good beats that they both liked to rock over.

I think the fact that both camps hold each other in high regard is a plus because it kept them on their A games as opposed to just more of the same ol same ole.

Kinda wished there was some more Deck, GZA, and MK on this, tho.

I did a brief search online as I was listening and saw the same tracklisting you posted at multiple sources. Hopefully all the tracks in that snippet make the cut. As good as some of those samples sound, I wouldn't be surprised if a few don't make the cut due to clearance issues, but who knows.

The two extra tracks on bonus tracks; one an additional track and the other is a remix of the additional track. I know because I saw the preview for the tracks is up on iTunes with the same snippets in the Youtube clip. I'm guessing the bonus tracks are iTunes exclusives. Pardon me for not including a link, but work blocks me from browsing iTunes at the moment.

Ghost & Louch saw that it wasn't gonna get released, so they re-did most of it. The first def jam single was gonna have Ryan Leslie, but we'll never hear it.

There's partial production credits on Wiki..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wu-Block

Random bag of producers.. apparently Termanology did the "Drivin Round" beat.

Doubt these are all accurate for some reason.

It wasn't entertaining. I feared that when coupled with D-Block they would fall victim to wack choruses and mediocre beats and I was correct. The sequencing was questionable. The set up for songs were lackluster and I'm seriously wondering why do folks even do skits if they not going to do anything interesting with them. This went the same route of Random Axe. I won't listen to this album again.

I saw that the beat for Crack Spot Stories has been done time and time over again prior to that song. Not only that, but Masta Killa is also using the same beat on a song for a project he has coming out in December. I don't think I can pull up the page where I found this out at work, but if people want to see proof, I can pull up the page when I get home tonight.

I dig the beat to that track. One of my favorites from the album, to the point it was hard for me to listen to the other tracks because I had that song on repeat. I did the search because I was curious what the sample was. It took me by surprise to see that not only was the sample used heavily, but that the sample was used in pretty much the same exact way for two other songs from what I remember from that webpage. I'm aware that songs get sampled over and over again, but not sampled in the same exact manner like was done with this song. Others may not care, but I liked to song, so I did a little digging for more info on it. No anger, just curiosity.

In the digital booklet from iTunes, those two are still listed as 'featuring' even though they're on every track. Just wanna get my tags right.

It's not officially credited that way; however, those 2 are the core of the group named Wu Block.. doing all the interviews.. prolly instrumental in getting everyone else together.

Love this type of NY street shit. Ghost, his associates, and the LOX spitting that uncut dope.

And damn if Styles P isn't having a great year overall.

Almost feel bad for Styles P. His new one is getting overshadowed by this, and it's really good.

Just, wow.

Beats, lyrics, cohesion, chemistry

These cats sound like they been rapping together
forever.

And this isn't just a collection of street bangers
(its that too), but also a well conceived effort...
...the beats are creative and electic, the rhyme
schemes..

And Ghost snaps on this shit harder than he has in
several albums

Well done
