Pinhead from Hellraiser meets a dandelion from Fantasia's 'multi-colored-pachyderms' segment?
I was in the first row of boxes just left of center stage after the orchestra pit.
My brain & mouth were making involuntary responses & decisions at times watching her sing 'The Hunter' amongst others while some animated double-helix laser light beam undulated in time with the music behind them.
Lord have mercy on any poor soul in the crowd who'd injested psychedelic materials beforehand as I probably would have if I caught her back in '97.
I felt like I was tripping my balls off with just booze & a Cali weed contact high at this show.
While I'd always imagined she'd be 'memorable', I was a bit worried hearing she was going to be playing the new album (which I still have yet to really take in) & only a couple old joints but instead she mixed in a number of them.
The new songs sounded cool but the five-pack of Hunter, Unravel, Hidden Place, Joga, Possibly Maybe & Hyperballad was worth the price of admission alone for me.
If I was going to be spoiled I'd say I would have liked to have heard Bachelorette with All Is Full Of Love as a closer instead of Declare Independence.
But that's just nitpicking.
