i don't see how you won't love this album.

"I Care" with Jai Paul was already one of the best songs of 2024. glad to see the whole album is on the level.

Gave it a spin and I felt like it started off strong, but then not so good at the end. I’ll definitely give it a few more listens though.

zack bars folks up pretty regularly. he was early on the BNYX train too. he has a few eps and most of the songs on those are legit good, no "he's a comedian" qualifier needed!

We can argue all day about how he never wanted this album and its follow up (set for June release) to be back out there, but the estate and its people allowed for it, so I'm pushing it in my ears greedily. (It's lesser Luther to be sure, but it's still "more", and I'm all for more Luther...)

Of course this is just my thinking after hearing it twice - my opinion will change and change for a week or two (or more) depending on how often I listen to it.

The thing that keep Cross in the mix HEAVILY is that it's *all* up tempo.

That means, for me, when hiking or exercising that there's not a track I need to skip - even Valentine and One Minute to Midnight are fast enough for exercise.

On this one "Moonlight Rendez-vous" is a skip when working out and maybe "The End" is too.

(I downloaded a torrent early and listened to it twice yesterday while hiking - I'll try it later this weekend too.)

I'm really looking forward to the live album version of this - the Coachella set was a mix of Woman World Wide and the new record, but I'm sure they'll release something that leans more heaving on the new record in the coming months/year.

Favorites: "Neverender" (with Tame Impala) and "Saturnine" (with Miguel.)

Now I need a new BreakBot album, and a Digitalism record that's more electro and less "haus."

favorite album of the year for me.
