(and similar sites: grailed, Depop, etc.)
obviously shopping on those sites you need to be mindful of condition.
also, be mindful that SOME vintage hats go for BIG money. I've personally seen some of the most desirable and rare vintage snapbacks sell for well over $1K.
there are a couple big IG accounts that run vintage snapbacks auctions weekly and you can trust that they will do good business and get you something that's quality.
if you want to follow the accounts and peep one (and maybe buy a hat), the two accounts i'd recomment are @r2rvc and @wwvse
the great thing is you can find a vintage hat for almost anything. i have vintage sports hats, vintage tv show/movie hats, "cultural" hats, hats for brands/products, etc.
so maybe if you've been nostalgic about something, checking to see if a hat exists for that thing might be a starting point.
I usually only cop hats from one off stores in different cities and half the time I gravitate towards 47 brand hats.
Back on the day we had a spot called Honus Wagner in the Burgh. It was Mitchell and Ness before M&N.
