characters had interesting stories and right now interesting black stories on tv shows are hard to find.

I also liked how they addressed a lot of current issues even though some of it seemed heavy-handed.

And I was a huge fan for a long time since John Hughes Movies, to Clueless to Mean Girls.

but I tried Book smart and I felt too far removed.

I watched sports 90% of the time and maybe 1 or 2 shows, now I'm watching more tv than I ever have and shows I would've never watched lol
