Between working from home, 2 year old stuck in the house all day, 8 month pregnant wife who is also working from home, and the stress of this virus and the fearful that the dotard in the White House will get re-elected and Friday’s just aren’t fun anymore.

I’m having a tough time on Thursday/Friday. Everything about my in school style is about trying to get the kids to notice more, be more patient with complexity, and expect more of themselves.
That isn’t relevant right now. So part of me is frustrated because what some are giving me is not at the level I’d expect. But I can’t communicate in the same ways, and we don’t have the same time, and at this age their parents really tend to underestimate them too. And that’s on top of all the other crisis factors and whether it’s reasonable to expect anything at all.
I don’t really care about it from an academic perspective - they’re ready for the next year whenever we get there. We’d already decided I’d move up with them. And so far 100% of my kids are participating - with 90% turning in all their work on time.
So I just get to the end of the week and try to let it go with hopes of trying to find some Magic the next week.

Working and making sure I still give my kids attention is exhausting.
No way I’m working a hard 8 hours. Kids are too young to understand what’s going on too.
