wether its going with factory packages or aftermarket stuff, what would you make sure your car had if you had the money for it and no one telling you no? lol

i think im all about practical upgrades instead of cosmetic ones. got a good sound system in my car now and i want that (better) on any car i have moving forward. im a sucker for tech too. got the tint but thats a must in this heat.

im considering adding some rails on the roof for luggage incase i make any long road trips with friends/fam, that sub is not being taken out lol

sometimes i see a black car with red accents and scratch my chin. dont know what cosmetic upgrades i would really make.

i feel like a mexican im letting my people down by not adding some flare to my ride though lol

Cars are such a ridiculous money pit. I just want mine to work for a really long time, with as few repairs needed as possible. I’m not sinking any extra money into it, beyond the couple bucks it takes to wash and vacuum it regularly.

Clean and functional is all I care about at this point.

Need new tires before winter, just replaced brake pads, otherwise Im fine. My car has been paid off a while, really want a truck so I can haul stuff so looking into that soon.

I think WeatherTech. It's so wet here all year that they help to keep the car clean.

Next, I'm gonna get dash and rear cams for the car. I rarely drive it, but my lady is the daily driver.

She wants new hi/low bulbs, but I gotta check to see what's in there first. Low beams are pretty dim.

i sure wish i had them when i went to red rock this year, that mushy snow mud was no fun

...but a few weeks ago my lady hosed them off and put the out in the sun the dry. They look like new now, and the floor of the car is immaculate.

I only other think is maybe blacking out my VW logo in the front. I blacked out the back already.

Tinting is really the only thing I will do with any car I get from now on.

i do dislike logos. ive seen some pretty bad jobs at removing/covering logos on car though. i would need to look into some nice options but i would consider that. i like subtle changes like that.

the rims I want are factory for the year after mine. if I got them, I could keep my tires. not likely gonna happen.

my system sounds ok, but I want more options to play with the levels. if they'd push a real EQ to it, I'd be good. otherwise, I'll keep working with this 3-band bs. I could get an aftermarket unit, but I'd lose too much functionality. not likely gonna happen.

the tint needs to be even all around. I kinda hate the lighter windows in the front that most cars have. it looks better when tint is the same on all windows. prolly gonna happen.

I've already done 2 things. changed out the floor mats for the jeep rubber mats. way easier to take out and shake or spray off. better than the weather techs in my last car.

also added a trailer hitch. mainly for my bike rack. household has 4 bikes so this helps a lot with that. got it done by the dealer so it looks like it came with the car.

hubcaps are basically extinct right? cars usually have a decent proportion to the wheels too.

no tint in the front and dark tint in the back is the worse. i couldnt do limo all around because texas but i got the front as dark as is legal and i dont think it looks bad. doesnt look like a noticeable difference.

If this is fantasy upgrades, I would love to have to neon lights under the body of the car. Yes I know nobody does that anymore, yes I'm sure it's a distraction, but I always used to see it on cars when I went to NY as a kid, and I've always wanted to get it done.

Real upgrade, somebody hit my car from the construction site by my job and damaged my hubcap. Hyundai quoted me $100+ for just the cap. For one hubcap! I've been too lazy to research where to get another one, but I feel like I should be able to buy one from ebay or something.

ive always been split on lights under cars. when i first saw them i thought it was so cool. im mostly meh on them now. too flashy for me.

sucks on the hubcap. i would think $20 would be more than enough for one hubcap. i think i bought a set of 4 for something around that in the 00s. not factory of course but eh. are these simple hubcaps or is there something special about them that somewhat justifies a higher price?

There is absolutely nothing special about the hubcap, dealership prices are always insane.

Touch screen head unit that supports Android Auto/Carplay, Bluetooth calls and backup cameras, decent speakers and sub with a 5 channel amp and tints and that's it.

I wanted a new car to get all of that stuff (like the '18 Accords) but I figure it'll be cheaper for me to just pay off the car I have and update everything with aftermarket parts

got tired of getting into rental cars and thinking "so this is the future!!"

scheduled for tint, will do automatic start before it gets cold, considering a carbon fiber hood or having my hoof carbon fiber wrapped. The radio is plenty loud enough for my listening and I can Bluetooth my phone...prolly ok there.

a custom fiberglass speaker box molded to fit your specific trunk can save hella space

i had a custom fiberglass box made for (2) 15’s years ago that gave me access to my full trunk.
the speakers and amps were molded in the wasted spaces of the trunk. the parts you couldnt use anyway.

its not that much more expensive, you just gotta get someone that really knows what they’re doing with not just the fiberglass but the air space calculations too

i drive a 2014 Impala now, i think they would fit
