if they know me as ___ i dont want to show something that tells them differently, even if its not a bad thing.

if im typically known to not do something then i start to i keep it hush.

i guess you dont need to announce such things but there have been times that people will ask me if i have tried something or if i know do something that they know me not to do and i will deny it even if i have.

i dont know why i would lie about it. its not like its something thats wrong or that they dont do themselves. best i can explain is that i dont want them to see me differently.

Everyone is not you and that's what you want to promote. Pause before answering any question, remain calm, and respond with confidence to whatever you are asked. Sell your tangibles and your fit within the organization.

And remember, you're offering to partner with a company to do business, not to sell your soul.

YOU GOT THIS!

I forgot where I read this but walk in with the mindset that you are interviewing them to see if it’s a good for FOR YOU!

Once I started doing this I had better results in interviews. I prolly came off a bit desperate when I first put myself out there a few years ago.

I turned down a gig that paid better because they switched the title on me and the PTO was ass juice.

That question is a KEEP IT 100 question. I ask that question to let them know that I'm down to help them make changes as needed and that I'm flexible, and I that I can bring a fresh vibe to the team.

Even when you work AT someone else's place of business, you work for yourself.

Since that time in '07, I've taken that approach into interviews. And I ask them questions like the ones you mentioned below.

I'm the prize. Why would I wanna work here? Sell me on that, then worry about whether or not I wanna be here.

You're already at NO when the convo starts.

All they can do is offer you the job.

And it's now officially Thursday but whatevs.

Yesterday, I was confronted with real wgts (white girl tears) at my new company. She screwed something up and got yelled at by her boss (not me) but it affected me so she was a mess of tears and apologies and what not in our meeting and I found myself having to coddle HER even though she really did fuck up and I know what the wgts are about.

Part of it is I actually like this girl but I got an attitude today realizing she trapped me into making HER feel better with her wgts.

More like 20..if I am lucky. But seeing how dementia runs in my family I figure signs will start popping up between 60-65 lord willing. at 41 I starting to feel like I am running out of time to do all the things that I was put here to do..and yet, here I am wasting time.... SMH.

I'm not even spiritualizing the topic, but I am talking about proven self-talk and reality. Man, don't claim that for yourself - EVER!

they both didnt make it to 60. diabetes made my pops live very hard the last 10 years. he stayed in denial for the first 3/5 years of those last 10 still trying to eat how he pleased.

im trying to reverse course before i get to that point. im really worried about my brother, i think hes at a stage that he needs to make drastic changes.

My old man passed at 48. I'll be 45 this year. I joke sometimes that I'm just trying to beat him.

And dementia also runs on my Moms side. For now, I'm just glad to still be here.

The fact is, I can't afford to think that I only have 25 years left. Both of my parents are dead. Both died of Cancer. My moms died at age 45 in 1996 (I was 22) and my father died at age 68 2018 (I was 44). The way I could look at it is that I have until I'm 66. BUT TO HELL WITH THAT THINKING!

Can't front. This post kinda pulled out some suppressed mortality issues for me. I can't afford to even think that I'm gonna die before I see 85. Most of my family lived to be 92+. I'm gonna make it to see at least 93 and in my RIGHT MIND. I claim it and Declare it.

no matter how many years you got left, how well are you spending that time?

need to stop with the mentality that ill get to that down the road and start attacking the things you want to do in life.

doesnt apply for everyone as some have been living like that but i feel it.

My life experiences are a little different because I have been dealing with older parents and loved ones who suffered long illness and that's the shit I don't want. My wife's dad died suddenly of a heart attack and her mother withered away over several years do to a degenerative condition and we both agree going out suddenly was so much better for everyone.

So my big issue isn't with dying, my big concerned is not doing the things here I was suppose to do. Get my boys to a point of independence, do the creative and business stuff I want to do, and help some people out. If I can get it all done in the next twenty years, I think I will be at peace.

I realized today I’m too quick to get into relationships and too slow to get out of them.

Oh well. Lesson learned.

i just found out my nephew got arrested
and is on probation for a year
i find out thursday night
and i was on a flight to him in the morning
it happened in february
and i found out a week ago

fuck his bitch ass moms
im sick of her shit
how the fuck do you not tell our side
of the family?
how do you not call and tell me he was in
jail for three days?
all she does is post on instagram all fucking day

i took him to go start his community service
which he should have started three weeks ago!
he told me he was going to go again on sunday
and didn't
i just don't know what to do
it was such a dumb reason to get arrested
and i feel like he had a shitty ass lawyer
so thats why he got mandatory probation
i could have found him a better lawyer
if she just would have called

i've had so much anxiety over cops and his safety
this is taken me over the top
i HAVE to find a therapist soon
i feel constantly scared for him and his brother
and worry all of the time for their safety
and their attitude

i really do believe this is why i never became a mom
god knows i wouldn't be able to handle the anxiety and worry

it's good to sweat it out, but even just going for a walk is good. reading or watching something funny or doing something fun with people you love also can help. I hope you feel better soon.
