"OKP Hypebeasts: how do you feel about brand resurgences?"
I'm curious how people who like to be on the leading edge of fashion/trends/etc. feel about brand resurgences.
I'm specifically thinking of urban or heavily-urban influences brand like Reebok, Champion, FILA, Puma etc. (i'm sure there's others and if you wanna mention them be my guest)
In the past few years, all of these brands have had varying levels of resurgence and, in my opinion, have all put out some good product.
How do y'all feel about these? Are you such a cool kid that you never gave up on these brands? Do you think it's a flash in the pan but won't be around next year? Would you never be caught dead in their stuff?

Take Champion for example. I see cats wearing some real quality looking Champion gear these days. I've seen Mero wearing some really fly looking Champion hoodies on D&M. However in Atlanta the only Champion I see is cheaply made stuff that you can buy at Walmart and Target.
The same with K-Swiss. Growing up in Atlanta in the 80s, K-Swiss was King. The K-Swiss classic is an iconic shoe. I would love to cop some still. I know they're still out there, but is it the same K-Swiss quality from my youth.

but it's funny you mention it because on Full Size Run this week they had Gary V as their guest and he has a collab with K-Swiss and they didn't look that bad from what i could see on video.

I remember the sole setting flat on the ground. I just checked the Journey's website. I can tell from the picture they look wack. If I happen to get an up-close view, I'll come back in here with details of how $hitty they are. LOL

**************** TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

Are you such a cool kid that >you never gave up on these brands? ^^ I never 'gave up' on Champion. My kids would pick out 'Russell' and I'd be like 'NAH...get THIS'
But this new $hit with the giant logo is just GROSS...and they're pairing up with Timberland I guess? So you got timbs with a big-a$$ 'C' on em. NAh.
And the funnier $hit is the old heads, they day 1's who have converted. People I would have expected to have vintage Champion be on IG posting pics of the $hit their KIDS are rocking.
Do you think it's a flash >in the pan but won't be around next year? ^^ I think it'll spread to other brands, give it time.
Would you never be >caught dead in their stuff? ^^ I was never a 'big logo' dude, except for maybe Polo stuff. and I couldn't afford much of that. LOL

You have bargain basement types who buy on the cheap
and then you have their bougie ass cousin who gets off on being able to spending all their money on pricey shit
Best of both worlds.

At the same time you can also just cop what you want from those older brands on grailed or ebay and tailor it.

And I never stopped liking it.
The reverse weave sweatshirts or hoodies with the small C on the chest.
The ones with the small script logo on the chest are dope too, but those are harder to come across.
The script logo across the chest isn’t my favorite but it’s acceptable.
The big logos and the stuff with the all over print are wack.
I like Puma Suedes. Never really got into their apparel too much, but I’ve seen some track jackets recently that I like.
Reebok - Club C’s and Reebok classics. Simple stuff. I like some of their 90s b-ball shoes off nostalgia, but I couldn’t wear them now other than “the Questions”.
To sum it up, I like their classic 80s-90s and more classy simple stuff - for basically all of those brands.
