I think many times a man will hold stuff in and soldier on in the marriage and not say a word about how he feels
he'll cheat
he'll disappear
he'll disassociate
he'll develop resentment
before ever talking to his wife about how he feels about "us"

her reaction was up and down at the moment...but she double back provided some positive feedback

weight off my shoulder
now more work lol

it's just better to communicate what's there because the added problems, caused by the actions mentioned above, are not worth it nor are they conducive to the type of success one could desire in their marriage or relationship.

Best of wishes on your journey!

Daycare is so disrespectful to our budget.

Especially after doing taxes.

We just have to make it to summer but the way my wife is talking she is trying to work for the first month teaching an intensive. She does it every year and while it’s more money it’s not really because if we kept the kids at home we would save more than she makes.

Have to have a real ass convo about saving money.

She gets paid through the summer too so it’s not like she is scrambling for cash.

and she is on spring break right now. I’m jealous. LOL.

My bro in law is tripping but iont know what to believe. All I know is my mother in law is supposed to spend a week with these kids this summer and she better not back out to take care of my sister in laws kids. We just need one week out of the year while my sister in law demands damn near all her free time because she got 4 kids and a shitty husband... and he’s from the caucus area so I’m really on some “you chose this white nigglet” and it’s mostly just because of his skin tone.

second kid, second pregnancy.

My wife went through hell with the first one

But this one is next level.

Shes been sick, actual flu/cold/stomach virus sick one to two weeks out of every month on top of hellish morning sickness in the first trimester.

PLUS

Shes still recovering from the first pregnancy on top of being pregnant. Short story, while in the first pregnancy she had a horrific accident - broke some bones, tore some ligaments and wrecked her body, the baby was fine but she suffered and is still suffering because of the injury. The messed up part in all of this is that her body was starting to heal at a crazy fast rate right before we got pregnant again - post pregnancy the hormone levels change and promote healing which was good but then got cut short because of the pregnancy.

I can't wait for this to be over. Nothing is worse than watching the person you love suffer and you can't do much but be present because you can't reach for the good drugs to make the pain go away.

We're both ready for her to get through this so she can start healing and being active again. Shes damn near in bed rest.

Emergency C section the first.

She is still dealing with hormone changes 2 years later.

No more kids for us. She was beautiful while pregnant too but these babies tore her up.

Now anytime a kid starts tripping my wife tells the story of all she went thru and they just do what she says so she will stop talking. Not even sure they understand but they just get tired of hearing it

and returns to herself better than she was before.

And continue being the rock she needs while she's going through it. The fluctuations in hormone levels are tough for us to deal with but imagine what they are going through.

For the last few years, my wife has been dealing with symptoms that wreak havoc on the mind and body once women reach a certain age. It has not been the easiest to deal with but it has been a test of my patience. Let's just say that I've become a much more patient person. LOL

"Million While You Young"

38 seconds in, this question is posed.

I've been stuck trying to figure it out.

Some cats (even here), were so caught up with the cat being in a gang that they missed the forest for those trees.

Lotsa unexpected changes here that I'm trying to figure out. Chess; not checkers!

My wife's Nana. She wasn't technically her grandmother by blood. Long story, but that was her grandmother. My brother in laws grandmother by blood, if that clears anything up. Anyway, she lived to see 100 years on this earth. Quite a remarkable woman. She had such an impact and influence on so many people. Me included. If you consider her entire life span, I barely knew her, just the last 15 years. But she was special and I loved her. I remember her lovingly and fondly and I am a better person having met and spent time with her. She is truly one of a kind and she is greatly missed.

i've never been the kind of guy to date around. i always just gave one woman my attention. kinda fell into having a couple girls rn.

managing it is surprisingly easy. but man i be feeling bad when im by myself and thinking about how to prioritize them. and im hesitant to commit to the one im feeling the most because she got the most red flags/baggage. she's working on herself but i just need to see the vision before i can because she's a hurricane.

The biggest one (to me at least) is she thought I was part of some scheme by her ex to set her up and pump her for info to make her look bad in custody hearings. One of the first times we hung out she grilled me about who I knew, where I hang out, why I decided to talk to her in the first place, a lot of shit. Doesn't seem like she has the greatest relationship with the kids dad, largely due to shit she's done. But like I said she's trying to do better so I'm willing to see how it progresses.

I've been taking these jawns off outside and leaving them one the porch. They are basically work boots so I don't need them to be pretty, but damn.

I mean, it's not funny about your prostate, but your wife is funny.

What exactly does "acting up" mean?

Had one of my favorite rock records on in the car. We get to the market near the end of the album and he says "finally! That music hurts my ears" (It wasn't too loud). Called it "cheese-grater music," lol.

So far the soul and funk are the only old music he kinda digs. He likes this new stuff tho. Gonna keep trying.

In response to Reply # 35

if he gravitates toward specific ones then give him more of that. if he doesnt enjoy some then do less of that.

we all go through phases. he might not be in the mind frame for specific type of music right now, no matter how good it might be. if you keep trying to force it on him he might really avoid it moving forward.

I will pay for one to be made for me and the designer. That's all.

BTW, alternatively I was thinking that or "A Tribe Called De La Brothers"

TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

I am one RESENTFUL ass-dude.
But I believe it is a righteous resentment.

When my motives are questioned, you're gonna get it served in your face. It's good some of you can ask questions... SOME of the time.

I cuss (some of) you out, because I care (sometimes).
