4 different sponsored IG ads popped up in m feed, over the span of a few mins, each one was an alternative to air pods.

I was concerned, because I haven't googled them or talked about them at all, but I did handle a couple pair in airport kiosks in two different airports, over the past 48 hours.

it depends on if you plan to exercise in them or just want truly wireless earbuds.

if you plan to workout the jabra elite active 65t's are ideal as they have the best combination of sound, price, comfort, controls, bluetooth connectivity & water resistance of any truly wireless headphones.

I've yet to try the sennheiser momentum earbuds but I've heard the sound quality is the best for any truly wireless earbuds but they retail for over $100 more than the airpods and jabra earbuds and they lack a high enough waterproof (IP) rating for me to feel comfortable doing any sweat-filled workouts in. they both have a "hear through/transparent listening" feature which allows you to hear the outside world which is great if you run/bike outside or want to talk to someone without taking them out. i don't believe the airpods have any such feature.

and the current version of the airpods have no waterproof rating at all which makes me shake my head at all the people who are using them to exercise in not to mention horrible isolation.

So if you're after noise isolation check for the Samsungs or the Bose Sound sports or similar...
If you want to be able to hear the world around you, AND you own an iPhone...Airpods is the move.
I have nothing but good things to say about my Samsung IconX buds...but I also have a Samsung phone... I think many of the negative Samsung reviews are from iPhone and non-Samsung phone owners

I thought the bass was WAY overpowered AND muddy - and I AM listening to hip-hop with them.

It's like the vocals got less distinct too.

Good news: If your on an iPhone AND using a music player that uses the CoreAudio framework you can use the equalizer to make it sound to your liking.

Dad news - Google Play music doesn't support it - which is what I use for streaming.

I'll definitely buy a pair and if they haven't improved I'll jsut return them.

I think they sound really good.

They have physician volume up/down on each.

They had a button that follows the single press pause, double press next, triple press next controls.

Bass better than Airpods, less that POwerBeats Pro 3 - which were too boomy.

i will flag that i only connect them to my phone and use while traveling...so my phone is usually in my hand/pocket. occasionally while in my pocket the sounds gets a lil choppy for a few seconds. I've seen comments on amazon about the range not being good.

I workout 6 days a week and sweat up all to be damned. I've tried the cheapest of the cheap and all brands damn near, but the power beats pro have been the only ones to last over a year for me. Now going on 2 years flawless. I'd recommend.

Probably hiked 500 miles with them since late July in and they work well too.

$50 bucks on sale sometimes.

Sometimes when I sweat *a lot* the controls will get flaky, but wiping them down makes them function as expected.

I wear them for biking or running and the sweat hasn't bothered them.

I just wish the didn't pick up so much noise during calls. wonder if they'll make a new set that pick up less background noise.

I have AirPod Pros, Sony Linkbuds and Sony Linkbud S’s and some Shokz

The LinkBuds have proven to be the most versatile for my lifestyle. The open design means I can wear them while doing anything and they are practically unnoticeable to the point where I’ve left them on while having dinner with the family. Everyone says they can’t even tell I’m using earbuds when talking to me on the phone. Riding bike and running with them and I’m fully aware of my surroundings even more than the AirPod Pros ambient mode. I also got them for like $69 on EBay Secondipity Refurbished. I have two sets because I accidentally ran one set through the wash and assumed I’d ruined them…. But them joints came back to life after a week!!
