"Songs you went down a rabbit hole and claim out fresh"

For me it's Alt-J - Breezeblocks. Heard this when I was in my room at rehab. Shit still has me...and whoever did this video kept me coming back.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPlXdFwWcV4

Having me at my job asking to hold down a client with breezeblocks til we reign them back.

Music lovely like that. Notes in a different time signature and chords to a hip hop head feel it... even feel it moreso when it's displayed amongst the mightiest of heads where a thread is stronger than the definition of such a word.-

Does that sound weird? Fuck it... i'm rolling with it.. *turns up Breezeblocks*-

For me it would have to Elvis Presley - Can't Help Falling In Love (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGJTaP6anOU).

I couldn't name any other Elvis songs, but for whatever reason this has been on my mind for the past week or so.

In so many words...yes. I just was scrolling through random vids and came across that Breezeblocks joint.

^^ Such a great song. Reminds me of my grandmother. When she would drink and walk home from her local watering hole, she'd come in and sing "Are you lonesome tooonight...does your heartache tooonight". Different Elvis song, but for the longest, that was the only song I knew.

Hell, I didn't even know the rest of the lyrics. But my cousins and me still know that song/lyric though lol.

I also was looking up the opera joint Dufresne played for the other inmates in Shawshank, and came across this gem.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zucBfXpCA6s

Watch this 4-5 times a week. Great way to go to sleep and love seeing how she tears up the keys. Also reminds of a Looney Tunes cartoon.

And that opera song in Dufresne, I found out, is Mozart.

I had no idea there was such a smooth underbelly to the dance scene over there.

Just queue up a Spotify artist radio based on PREP or Camp Claude and you've got hours of great, obscure but insanely catchy music from the past handful of years.

I can't sleep. Woke up to see my bonus check deposited lovely in my account.

Then I put this joint on. Beat sounds like a Q-tip beat off The Renaissance, but the lyrics tie this together. Too, too dope.
