dismiss, but these are the fucks who are going to (and in some cases, already have) spill blood for what they believe in. And because it's not too far from what a significant chunk of the country also believes, we can't do anything about the root causes of their extremism, so we just keep waiting for it to get worse.

I didn't listen. Even if the podcasters approach it from the left by clowning the crazy right wing fringe groups, it is still exciting to them. They want conflict by any means necessary.
9. "The podcast host is definitely not excited for it" In response to Reply # 8
more alarmed/worried about it, and specifically saying not to write these folks off as just clowns. They're violent and some of them have already killed people.

The first Civil War was bankrolled by slave-holding aristocrats, trying to preserve and expand their aristocracy.
Who about to bankroll a Civil War in 2019? The 1% don't want to fuck up their pockets like that. For what?
Ain't finna be no war started by rando hicks in Nebraska or some shit, I don't give a fuck how much Info Wars they listen to and how many combat drills they do.
14. "Russia. This is how Putin wins." In response to Reply # 13
You think he's been doing nothing at all while Trump lets him get away with manipulating our elections and anything else he pleases?
Russian, Chinese and North Korean hackers have access right now to who knows what. We have no idea what Putin's endgame is with Trump and the U.S. Thousands of troll accounts have flooded Twitter and Facebook and other platforms...
at this point, anything can happen..nothing can be ruled out.
15. "Who is funding the civil wars in Yemen or Syria?" In response to Reply # 11
Funding isn't a hurdle.
I think geography would be more of an issue (in this hypothetical situation that I don't believe is plausible). If you think it would go down along political ideological lines, the right and left are interspersed throughout the country. Would people migrate to areas based on ideology? Doubt it.
