Between some work trips in a couple weeks, I have an overnight 1AM-2PM in San Francisco. Beyond just getting a hotel, what could I find to do? I have a car booked.

To whip his ass.
Good advice though, I'll look for a late night Chinatown restaurant to get excited about.
But yeah, how far is that drive, a couple hours? Is it worth driving all the way out there late at night & is there anything to do? What about anywhere else in the Bay? I've spent plenty of time in San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley, but no where else.

If you get out at like 8
Grab a coffee and check out Baker Beach for 30m to an hour -pretty and awesome view of gg bridge
Embarcadero/waterfront/Ferry Building for 2 hours - You get a good vibe for SF, see some downtown, bay bridge views - please don't waste your time at fishermans wharf
Mission or Chinatown/Northbeach for 2 hours - A food tour is a really good way to see some quintessential SF neighborhoods, learn a little history, and eat a lot of different amazing food. Plus its a good thing to do if youre by yourself. I've done one through www.foodieadventures.com and it was great. It might be cutting it close with your time but if you can't do the tour, these are still good areas to check out.

Thats rough. I was thinking you could still sleep for a few hours and then get up earlyish.
If I was tired from all that and just had a couple hours I would be happy with just hanging out at the beach or Golden Gate Park. You should have time for some of those things I suggested though. You could do the eastern end of golden gate park and Haight/Ashbury if you haven't seen that. It's not that special but cool to see once and you can go to Amoeba.
I went to the DeYoung Museum and Academy of Arts & Sciences recently, both were really nice.
You could go to Pacifica or Half Moon Bay if youve done SF and wanted to check out somewhere different. Santa Cruz seems like a way too long drive for the amount of time you have though. I guess you'd get to see some of highway 1. Honestly I wouldn't even bother renting a car if it was me.
Oh and Ive always wanted to take the ferry to Sausalito but have never done that. Could be a good one too.

Even a spot I stayed in for $150 a night a few months ago. I don't check bags so I need a safe space to keep them, or to comfortably take a nap (it's a nicer larger SUV). Plus the United Club at SFO has a shower, which I've used before, so I can't justify hotel costs.
Oh and yes, I arrive at 1AM and the flight out is at 2PM.

something anywhere you like as it will probably be amazing. Japan town is kind of cool (I think that's what it's called) not as cool as China Town though.
If you like to shop you could just chill downtown and hit up the department stores which IDK seem to have better clothes than their east coast equivalents
have fun!
