According to my phone, the RealFeel is -45, but I'm not going outside to check.
Work did NOT close, but I'm not going in, and judging from the out of office calendar, neither did a lot of other people. I'm monitoring emails and it sounds like they're preparing to close early anyway.
No postal service today, entire metro area has closed schools and day cares (yesterday, too.) I'm scared my car won't be able to start tomorrow, but there's no point in today where I'm going to be ok with going out to check it anyway.

I grew up in Philly, and don't ever remember seeing a zero degree or lower day. Lowest I remember is 1f or 2f. I used to think folks were lying when they were like "it's negative 20 out" until I looked it up.
Edit: I'd love to own some land in SoCal or South Florida.
I've been seeing a lot of people post negative temps though. I don't know how people do it in places that have crazy cold winters. I barely make it through here and its usually pretty mild. I'm tired of this shit. I miss chilling on my deck and grilling.

Its supposed to get real windy tonight with wind chills getting to -20-25 or so though. I bought an extremely warm coat, gloves, and socks at the beginning of winter. Those purchases are really going to pay off these next few days.
Funny, I remember “What We Do” constantly running through my head when I walked outside in that winter of 02-03 when that song was out. Maybe a subconscious connection to the “cold winter” line.
