Monday was the last day at my job (retail business, corporate office decided to close our location) where I've been working at for the last six years, even though I've been trying to find better work for the past two years, but I kind of liked it and finally worked my way up to 3rd key manager & shit.
Anyway, after we cleaned out the place, shipped everything, etc. said all our goodbyes, on the way home I ended up with a flat tire on the highway, I knew what tire it was cause it was the only one that had less tread on it but been kind of lazy replacing it.
I stopped right after getting off the highway, and parked behind a restaurant, and was like no biggie, just got to change the tire with the spare; but here's the kicker, when I went in the truck lift up the truck floor, no tire, no tire iron, no jack, just a box and some handsized gizmo, I was so pissed.
So I had to call for a tow, since there wasn't a new/used tire spot in a mile walk-able distance, besides if I did buy a tire I would still need the tools to change it, so I got a tow to a Firestone spot near my home (the tow guy took an hour to get me), when I got to Firestone, they said it was going to take two hours to get to my car cause five of their mechanics called out sick (it actually took 3 hours).
Talk about trying to enjoy the last day, now I'm out of $200 (that's $75 for the tow, and $125 for a new tire & service); I still got to find out what happened to my spare tire & tools, I've had this car for over a year but never once checked to see if it had one when I bought it from Enterprise.
