What would be the reason this game even makes it to top 10 most watched Super Bowls in History? The LA Market? Brady's fan base? The beautiful Mercedes Benz stadium in ATL? Sure.
But with all the foulness surrounding the NFL, Mr. Goodell, horrible officiating, social injustice & inequality, the gov't shutdown, NFL game protests nation and worldwide, the worst administration in the history of this country, why would you even still be interested?

I honestly have no idea why folks think they have a legit argument for boycotting the NFL but that’s just my opinion. I think folks set themselves up by declaring a boycott and then watching a few weeks later.

Hard to explain. More longhorns fans in Austin than Cowboys, or at least that’s how it was growing up. We LOVE football, but we love our CFB more than NFL You got middle school and JV on Thursday, Friday nights you probably catching a local game, Saturday you keeping track of your team ... Sunday is optional for the most parts unless you live in Dallas (SMU) or Houston (U of H) two cities that have always been cities. But for college places, you tend to get more Saturday fans than Sunday fans
Oh and there’s also this weird overlap of Aggie and Cowboys fans that made Longhorns fans a little soft on the NFL. Add that on to Jerry almost never drafting Longhorns ... it’s all a very weird relationship that’s impossible to truly explain

Plus it’s a chance to throw a party and escape for a few hours from reality.

That got just under 40 million viewers.
They haven't had under 100 mil in a decade. They haven't had under 80 million in 27 years. Super Bowl V, when the Baltimore Colts beat the Cowboys in a last second field goal in what was otherwise an incredibly sloppy game, was the last one to get under 50 million.
A Jags/Bucs Super Bowl would still draw 100 million viewers, there's no reason to think one of the more interesting teams in the league, in one of the largest markets, taking on the most hateable dynasty in sports playing in what is annually the most watched TV program of the year, is going to do bad in the ratings. Salty Saints fans aren't actually that large of a demographic.

At the time the Pittsburgh vs Seattle SB in ‘06 was the highest rated SB ever. It was a deathly boring game between two teams that didn’t exactly blow the nations mind at the time (Big Ben was still young, it was pre Legion of Book/Russel Wilson Seahawks). If that game can pull in monster ratings, a game with the two team from major football markets certainly will.

With sports that have best of 7 you get games in both cities, and the rivalry that builds over the series makes it a lot more engaging and exciting to watch. Single elimination just seems lame to me in comparison.

I've heard folks that actually liked the performance. It was just ok to me. I wonder if the sound was better, how that would have changed the perceptions. Terrible audio killed any chance of it really being dope.
