I also could never get into the music but respect the hell out of the hustle and his singular focus on creating opportunities for his community/the black community.

Agree that his interviews are great. He is pretty brilliant.

Went from regional thing to all over the damn radio in like a year and a half. New albums every few weeks, most of which debuted in the Billboard top 10 (even when it was Skul Duggery or whoever.) The 6 page spreads in XXL and The Source showing all the upcoming albums that were maybe coming out (shout out Mercedes' Rear End album forever, I think they were advertising that in the Ice Cream Man album.)

I don't know that we'll ever see a phenomenon like that again. There was like an 11 month span from the time Ghetto D came out to them signing Snoop.

Saved Snoop's career and probably life, and gave No Limit a nice boost w/the West Coast crowd and really everywhere since Snoop is universal.

That first album was total butt, but Snoop was back on track immediately after that hiccup w/Top Dogg.
