Co worker's husband had a heart attack in his 30s. They ran tests and none of the standard causes showed up so they said it may have been triggered by a virus?
Is that fa real?

It's definitely a thing.
One of them was a young dude, in the military, and seemingly in great shape. He went to his apartment, complaining of cold/flu like symptoms, and was found later, when he didn't show up for a roll call.
It's called myocarditiis. Basically, a viral or bacterial infection causes sever inflammation, and that inflammation can damage to and/or weaken the heart.
