a guy i kinda know through the current job who works for another organization let my partner know about a position in his org that will be opening up, a Director level position. i said fuck it and sent in the application information through their website.
just now i got a call from the owner of the company and I KNOW HIM! haha, crazy shit. so he was asking me several questions about experience in that particular field, which i have years of, as well as leadership experience etc.
i don't know if this is the move for me, but it sure is nice to have something happen that at least seems to be in the right direction. according to the dude who told us about the opening, the money would be aiight too. the owner is going away for the holiday and is going to call me after that to schedule a face to face meeting.
i gotta say it was a good day (c) Cube. (you like how i brought Cube back into the daily weekly? Haha)
And to reply to what you said up there, you're right. If it doesn't go anywhere no biggie. That's pretty much how I approach everything, especially at this point.
i thought a fade was simple. her supervisor had to point out that it was crooked. when she was done i had to point out one side was higher than the other and uh you sure you used the right clipper?? and why isnt it blending at the top, i dont want no mushroom head.
ended up with a higher fade than i wanted, a wet back (i know im mexican but come on bruh), and when i get home i noticed its not even blended right. i could see where she switched from one guard to the next.
*blinks*
was able to make it semi passable myself at home.
just gotta decide if i should wait a few days to get it fixed at the regular spot so it can grow out some and they have more to work with or just hit it up today and see what they can do.

here I am at home alone.. pounding guinness and what not (redacted for work safe reasons)... Listening to the music.... LOUDLY... I don't know if this is a good idea without supervision.. but the kid gloves are off on the playlist and I'm finna get deeper.
bunch of stuff playing this is the current track.. not your standard OKP fair but these guys are a fun show if you like that sort of thing.. wish I'd seen them in england in a pub where everybody knew all the words.. but you could still get a sense of it at their live show anyways.
I see Apollo still out there but haven't noticed GSimpson in a minute.. he was getting shine for a minute there.. why is it rappers so often get smoking hot then fade or fail to follow up...like whappened to K'Naan.. was listening to some of his stuff the other day.. ish was tight. what happened? why are there so damn many.. like who are all these new folks.. crap and why folks getting killed before I even hear about them... lol k Ima log off before I get too much messier... damn these guinnesses are tasty.

my organization is hosting their Fall Festival dinner tonight for members of the community. it's a very poor community and apparently 2-3 hundred people come every year. should be pretty cool.
busy ass day tomorrow. gym in the morning, clean up the house, lunch with a friend, meet big son when he gets off the bus, get his hair cut and then get home because my dad is coming to visit tonight.
TheWife needs an outlet. i have my outlets (working out, soccer, friends to kick it with), but she doesn't really have anything like that right now. i keep telling her to find something she wants to do with her time and i will fully support it. her stress level is fairly high, i want her to take a break.
let us know how that event goes... sounds like you're pretty busy but with good ish... i have to stay late and it's my Thursday.. i'm done complaining though. I just need to reorganize rather than wallow... there's always room for worse so ima go for better instead.
as for your wife that's a tough one it takes inspiration.. i have outlets.. lots of them but sometimes I'm just not inspired by any of them.. and other times I am obsessed.

I've only had a week this year too.. thing is our accrued vacation becomes available twice a year Jan 1 and July 1.. I get 4 weeks in total which isn't bad but I went from contract to FTE in Q2 which meant I only got 1Q worth of vacay accrued in time for the July 1st release... so here I am waiting desperately for Jan 1 so I can get a day in let alone another vacation... as I sit here typing this it is taking a lot of willpower not to just go hassle the boss for some kind of short notice days vacay advance.. *sigh* ... need a mental health day.
