Though I like him, I can't see it happening for him. Maybe he's drumming up support that will help him get the VP nod which would allow him to build an even more favorable persona before ascending to the POTUS spot.

His track record of taking corporate cash, and voting accordingly is not ideal. He's tried to distance himself from that a bit - though not too far. He's fine on social issues, at least. If he runs it will be uber important to see who he surrounds himself with.
But really, i think we need to look to whoever comes in with a real plan and real message to lead our country in a positive direction. If that somehow turns out to CB, then fuck, we ridin in 2020.
Like we got immigrant kids in prisons. Don't tell me it sucks, tell me what we're gonna do.
We spend too much on the military and not enough on education. Don't tell me that's wrong, tell me how we gonna fix it.
Amazon paid less in taxes than I did? Don't complain to me about a broken system, tell me how we make that right.

The two things that got mentioned a lot in actual interviews with Obama ---> Trump voters were him saying the police "acted stupidly" when they tried to arrest Henry Louis Gates for going into his own house and him saying that if he had a son, he would look like Trayvon Martin. It's what made them feel like white people were under attack and that he would never have their back.
They liked the idea of America being a place where a black man could become president, but were much less comfortable with the reality of an actual black man being president.

I'm not saying Obama won without whites, or that racists voted for Obama.
I'm saying they (racist 'Muricca)were a lot more angry than I even thought...cue Tea party, tiki torches, Trump, etc.
They are also very encouraged that one of them is in the white house, etc.
So...
The question then could/would Booker inspire enough other people to overcome that racist energy? Obviously Obama overcame a lot, but I don't think the other side was this motivated in '08.
And lets be real, some of those midwesterners gave the black guy a shot, and it backfired in their minds.
So can Booker not only overcome what Obama had to overcome, but actually more resentment, etc?
I doubt it. I got tricked by his "Bring It" moment, then came back to earth.
In addition to his trying-too-hard persona, I don't think the Dem base gets excited for a guy so tied to big Pharma, etc.
To get real specific, does Booker win Ohio? Florida? WI? VA? I doubt it.

IF a black man could speak so well, have a loving family, be the best of the best
well then what does that mean for everything else? expectation was shattered and new meaning/understanding had to come into focus
so, its hard to accept reality changing
which is why I think people just could not accept Obama and had to create all this weird fucked up conspiracy theory bullshit around him
like the whole fucked up story that Sasha and Malia were kidnapped children who were given sex reassignment surgery (yes, this shit actually factually came from the extreme side)
