She is a sneaker head. Regularly wears different color air max 1's to the office. She even put her pair of Sean Wotherspoons in one of her about me slides for a presentation.
I had my black toe Jordan 1's on today. She caught me like, "looking clean jdub". Later today I caught her walking out the elevator and noticed the sole of her shoes looked familiar.
I went to her office after lunch to chop it up and I was like "i didn't know we were wearing our yeezys to the office, i'ma rock mine tomorrow". She hit me with, "these are feezys, got em off a knock off website for sixty bucks".

Then she hit me with the knowledge that passed the smell test. She's like, "i'm gonna grab the white ones that just dropped last week since I can get em for retail now."

Our agency's director was admiring an LV Backpack of mine, asked me if it was real and I was like "Yeah, why?" and he proceeded to tell me about the fake bags he bought for his wife and daughter. Nobody would ever second guess the authenticity of their gear when they are stepping out an A8.

That discovered foams about a month ago. I used to chuckle internally when she first got'm. She'd go out the WAY to make sure'd I'd seen'm. Was pressed to tell me, "OH My all the young AA's look on in awe and give me all-sorts of thumbs ups." *Internal Cringe*. Thought it was some sort of weird social experiment, especially on the heels of the Kap commercial releases. Maybe it is *shrugs*, because 7 pair and two J's later (in a month), she's still waiving me over, which I kindly ignore, with a smile and busy finger.

That was the only shoe where I was ever intrigued by the idea of getting fakes, but I was concerned about my credit card info being compromised so I didn’t bother. Damn shame how Nike handled that shoe. I would’ve paid a couple hundred in a heartbeat if they were available.

i audited this Chinese national one time who was heavy in real estate and we got to talking about the knockoff industry in China and he was telling me he's been to one of the major area where knockoff stuff is made.
specifically, he was telling me he got to tour one of the factories where knockoff Rolexes are made and it's taken very seriously and as you tour the facility there are signs up that say "Quality is our #1 priority" and other positive business cliches.
i say all that to say many people take the knockoff business as serious as any other business.
