I was thinking of picking one up, but man some of these new ones are UGLY.

The last box I had that I was a Panasonic from 1983.

I'd love one with CD, cassette, and the ability to transfer via USB to computer.

Anyone have current boom box recommendations?

QFX makes some, but they are ugly and I bet they sound not great.

They're all pretty much at the same level as Crosley record players. The few manufacturers still making cassette players aren't spending the money to license any of the hifi technology from 30 years ago so you won't be able to get that nice Dolby sound out of anything.

There is also nothing good on the market that goes from usb to computer.

Probably the closest to what you have in mind. You can plug a device in via the RCAs.

These people are a trip.
