as an adult, my mother and I never slept in the same bed. Last night, I found myself crying when I rolled over and watched her sleep. I love my mother and have never felt so grateful to still have her. I am so thankful for the scarifces she's made for me. Before I moved here, her and I would drive down to visit my son. Once, on the ride back home she told me that she felt like she hasn't done anything with her life. I told her, she lives through me. Since that day, I try to show her the best things in life. She's always been the person to take care of everyone. When shit goes down, folks call her. She's even the shit amongst my friends. My mother is the prototype of unconditional love. I wish my mommy could live forever but I know that's Impossible so I pray that I have the strength when the time come. For now, imma cherish every moment...

She's 14 and I don't know what to do with her sometimes. I want to spoil her like crazy, but then I get mad at the attitude she takes on things...but it's due to me spoiling her. She durn near had a fit 'cause I wanted to walk to the movies last night (a 10 minute walk!!), and generally had a problem with everything. Her 15th bday is coming up, and already I'm thinking of ways to get her what she wants despite what the wife has already told her...smh...she's going to her first concert with a friend this Friday....I'm shook..
My daughter is 19. And I now have to admit that I did too much spoiling.
She's been a helluva brat since she came home after her first year away in college. Even more than she was before she left.
Good luck finding the balance you need. And also, listen to the wife as it relates to how to handle your daughter. I'm kicking myself in the ass because I have not done the best job at listening to my daughter's mom or my wife who has been around since my daughter was 9. They tried to told me! LOL

even when I say "no", I'm still looking for ways to "make it up to her" (with some other sort of gift, which is just as bad)

-Took my grown daughter to dinner on Monday and she says to me did you hear about what Trump did? I said no and dont tell me. im not concerned about what he does. And thats when it hit me. I haven't watched the daily news or any political pundit shows since 2016. And it feels good. I wont let 45 zig zag my emotions around during his tenure. Ignorance is bliss.

-the local naacp president who is female tried to hit on me some years ago and i didn't take the bait. She was married and her husband was in jail at the time. Well I ran into her at a local event and she was wearing some sexy asz outfit. TBH it was unbecoming of a naacp local chapter president to wear such an outfit. But it was hot as fk. She was with her husband who was foot to foot with her everywhere she went. In the back of my mind, i wish i had hit it back when and dude has no idea how close it came to me being that other nga in the room who smashed his wife. But something tells me it would have been more problems that it was worth.

Last night she said I was treating her like an adult because I was about to give her another half slice of pizza.
It’s like if I have too much fun with them or we are all laughing and enjoying ourselves she has to find a way to remind them she is in charge.

I've had some that were awful trash and some that were amazing all the with the same ingredients. Plus if that final folder fucks it up that just ruins it too.
I walked downstairs with my triathlon bike and hit a parking girder, fell backwards landed on my ankle. Ankle is backwards and I heard a snap. Immediately I grab it and turn it around hurting me even more. I couldn't get back up and got a ride to a hospital.
Does walking on it once the swelling go down make it worse?

it 'll really depend on your pain tolerance. walking will definitely hurt for a lil while. I'd say do crutches and keep the pressure off for a bit.

I wouldn't if you think you'll like the shit too much. It is an opiod. Everyone I know that got prescribed that stuff didn't take it. My pop had an unopened bottle of that stuff after his surgery... he preferred the ibuprofen. Said the opiod shit had him spaced out in the hospital not knowing what was going on and he hated that feeling.

I was dreading going back out of town with so much unfinished business at home but man did it work out!
I played the biggest party of my life in Cali and it was amazing!
I changed levels just like that wow.
I'm getting to the point now where I'm confident living out every dream I have.
August is gonna be a special month of just stacking bread and laying low. Got some debts and car issues I need to straighten out and now is the time. Goals too.
Resilience is paying off for sure. It's amazing how much I've adjusted, grown, and become more flexible to harsh conditions this year. Definitely made me stronger, tougher.
Working out a new weekly schedule, I admit I always was shy and hesitant about reaching out to venues. And now, it's become second nature! My primary venue I reached out to ended up moving very slow so gonna have to make some alternate plans so execution on everything is timely. Not waiting around for anyone anymore.
One disappeared off the map apparently and I could literally care less lol. U really just never know & I wasn't invested anyway. Gotta get out of state soon to handle the other. Life is good and generous.
