we went on Sunday to the Flying Lotus show Little Dragon BadBadNotGood Georgia Anne Muldrow
Tickets said showtime at 7PM
I figured that meant gates open at 7PM (yes, I've been to the bowl before, this was the 3rd time there actually)
We got there at 8PM...I figured we were good as I didn't hear any music on the walk up...might have missed Georgia...
...and then I can hear Little Dragon as we're still finding out seats...
at 8PM...WTF
we got there an entire hour after the advertised showtime and we missed 2 opening acts
Incredible venue and amazing show
I don't know how they do it, maybe something in the contract that gets acts to start their sets on time
...but I wouldn't worry about Lauryn going Lauryn at the bowl TBH...
Exchanging the how was your weekend with a coworker yesterday...he said his strategy is to show up at like 430PM and make a picnic out of it...SMH, YT pee poe

I believe the Hollywood Bowl is owned by the county.
Here in Atlanta, we have Chastain Park, and when they say they close at 11pm...they MEAN that shit. It doesn't matter who is performing. So artists have to start on time or they run the risk of getting the hook midway through their set.
I experienced the pros and cons of that. Shows generally start on time, with not a lot of break in between multiple artists. But, I've seen artists who were feeling it, and all of a sudden someone walks onstage and says, "Thanks for coming." Que the lights.
