I raved about it in P2P. If ya like quick scare cuts, etc...its not that. But if you like your horror a slow burn of a fucked-upness, its glorious in its evil

Let me guess: you liked Until Dawn as well.
Fuck horror as a genre across mediums. Going to a movie to be scared sounds crazy to me. Out here talking about it's fucked up.
What you need to be talking about is Netflix having a rom com with a black male protagonist that isn't about some cliche bullshit. Bout time Hollywood embraced the charcoal skin having excellent genetics black men.

Id argue that horror is easily the most cathartic movie genre for a black person tho; where else can one watch karma catch up with Trumpland ofays.
Slasher flicks are 100% ancestor approved!
“But Reg, what about the black character thar dies first in those movies”
Thats the ancestors showing you that being the one token black friend around when white people are visiting/doing shit they aint supposed to will get you killed.

Give me some happiness in a movie. Show me black people being great not as side characters, dying, being degraded, as stereotypes, typecast into shitty roles. Give me something positive over horror. Real life can be scary as fuck filled with anxiety and you think I'm bout to watch a movie to be scared? If I want to experience horror and tension I'm better off getting pulled over by police and reaching for my wallet.

**************** TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*
dude always low key implies he is on some grimey shit (not that an of it is true)
on some "if a door just so happens to be open in a car" again, I would never, but if things ended up missing....

It's like 2018's Rosemary's Baby. The pacing and everything. ...but, it also made me theorize about the type of activity that might be going on in that house in Calabasas, when the cameras aren't recording. & It may have reactivated my childhood fear of older historic homes being haunted.
