I may get one today, never owned a Subaru but like how they look, they are known for safety and I got two young kids. Anyone own one and have any negative things with this car?

we walked in the dealership, looked at the tag and walked right back out.
2013 is still worth like 18K

sweatagawd.
I'm even seeing OLD joints still running.
All I have is anecdotal evidence, but I will say in the last year or two they have blown the fk UP. Everybody can't be lyin'.
There was even an NPR article on the radio about how they were popularized by Navratilova I think, after she won a tennis tournament. She got an endorsement deal and they became popular with the LGBT demographic, particularly females.

we are >< here. LOL
they call it a lesbaru...but I do see EVERYBODY in 'em.
Take Redondo from Ocean Blvd. (the beach) to PCH. you can throw a rock literally in any direction and hit a subaru. It's like the dealership ran outta room and is just parking them shits on the street.

You don't need AWD which costs more to maintain and has worse mileage than a FWD car. Though honestly I can't really think of many other manufacturers who are making wagons in that price point so that may be reason enough.
