So, when one of the computerized systems goes offline, or you’re somewhere with shitty satellite coverage, you can sit on the side of the road like a dumbass because you have no license.

I'm saying, there are several spots on the street my mom lives on, in an Atlanta suburb, where SiriusXM and all cell connection drops to 0. I'm sure in the little desert shithole I'm originally from that's amplified by a large amount.

If we're becoming more dependent on GPS and say, my child's first car is autonomous and it doesn't require a license, what do they do with the car on those large patches on Grandma's street where the car can't connect to anything? Drive?

I normally go worst-case-scenario, but since there were no parameters set in the OP, I assume "no license" means no need for driving skill, which means no mental foundation built to know what to do when the car that "normally" does everything for you basically says "Sheeeit, you're on your own, champ." *Kanye shrug*

it doesn't have to have GPS or be connected to anything to work.
i mean, thats not how they work now. its a feature some cars use, but like, the battery and computer (and sometimes gas) make it go. its still a car.

and for 2
thats not how GPS works

and for 3
fixing the car will be the responsibility of whoever makes them. (if you wanna keep the phone analogy going) Ideally you wouldn't own a car. its just a robot uber. In a perfect world, we'd all just have better public transportation and just use autonomous cars to replace delivery drivers.

that's where I think this self-driving shit is headed....we actually WILL be in slot cars.

So whether the shit breaks down or the police are chasing you, you'll just get out and walk...cuz noone is going anywhere fast anymore.

'sick sticks' will replace guns...no more cop shootings..they'll just beat us/electrify us til we earl to death or die of electric shock.

If a license isn't required to drive, R.Kelly's underage girlfriends will be able to visit him more often.

once these buggies no longer require horses to pull them, we just gonna have a bunch of horses with nothing to do? and they're supposed to run on some type of gas? what am I supposed to do, keep bottles of gas on me at all times? this sounds crazy.

when you need personal transport you just order a car that suits your needs for the given use.

im sure there will still be people buying cars and hopefully there will still be some recreational tracks where you could go to drive when you want to.

Some people keep stuff in their cars like work shoes, gym clothes, groceries, etc. Auto cars won't change that. People are still gonna want customization, perhaps even more. If I can sleep in my car while it's riding, then I want my own car-bed. Fuck getting someone else's bed bugs.
