"Fellas remember the first time you saw some really nice panties? "
Filled my whole world up. I was used to seeing those regular ass cotton ones with the lil flower prints.
First time I saw some silk shit with the mesh and frills? I had to stop and afire them shits for a minute.
Shout out to the private school queen. She changed my life... for a minute and then it was on, or should I say, they was OFF!!

grew up with her and she was always a tomboy.. it's wild because there was like 8 dudes and 8 girls in our circle and we all knew each other since damn near birth.
Once we got to be teenagers we started noticing things...
both our moms were in the choir so they were out of town at a late church service. Told her to come to the crib. Man, when I saw that body.. whew.
she starting to look like her momma now tho...

Even got a VC Angels card. She was working through a bit of a tomboyish phase at the time, and I was like 'we can do better than this...'

2000s+ (or whenever it was) where for some reason men regularly promoted the idea that lingerie was pointless.
And NOBODY FRONT because I remember this shit being a thing. VIVDLY.
The common jokes were like: "it's all coming off anyway", "distraction from the main event","men don't care, you guys are just doing it for yourselves" (which is partially true, I guess. and a lot men still say this about makeup and certain styles of hair/accessories), etc.
Guess it's just a young guy vs older guy thing?? Because I'm legit shocked at reading all this reminiscing in here. I don't recall men actually being excited about/requesting lingerie until I started dating 40+.
It used to be kind of discouraging, lol. I worked in a lingerie shop for a semester too, so I'd stock up and have mad ideas, even for my bartending outfits. I'd try different styles but in bed dudes back then were just like, "..how do you take this off." Smh.
