it was funny, well written, and well acted. malik yoba was good, the white woman working with him is a good comedic actress. it was way better than i expected. i probably won't watched the pilot ep, especially after seeing the previous post in this thread.

Before you had to wait almost six months before they decided to either cancel or renew a show but now they do that shit within days after the pilot.

They already got the first season filmed and boom, on to the next season a week later, wow.

Pilots are rarely an indication of the rest of the show...especially because the pilot is often shot separately and used as a "calling card" to drum up support for the show...then things often change after that

The comedy is kinda dated and not really that funny.
Last nights episode I couldn't even watch more than 10 min....
A little too much misogyny for my taste...especially watching with the wife...
The cursing just throws me off too....not used to so much when watching what's essentially a sitcom.
Cedric T.E.'s character is just off to me...borderline coonish.
It almost reminds me of how choppy Tracy's first sitcom from the early 2000's was...I wanted to like it...I wanted it to be good...but it just wasn't.
Same with this one...

man, I take it all back. I love this show.

Tracy always been my dude and he is killing it. Tiff, not so much. She is a little too reserved on this show. I know he character is supposed to be mature but damn, where are the jokes? She all serious mom all the time. Love the flashbacks tho.

Anyway.. that Tinder dating episode was awesome. Loved the date he had. They had good chemistry and I loved that she was a real ass woman who he would date instead of some model type.

The funeral episode? man listen. Kate from This Is Us had me rolling. "I just want you to lay the pipe boo" man, she played a very convincing big white girl waiting on a dude to get out of jail. Cause all they really want..lol.
