So they are clowning on the video joking and what not and she grabs the gun, and dude says "hold up you making me nervous or something".

So my plan was not to actually see it but I did want to hear it and maybe see the aftermath. So I minimize the window at this point and I didn't really hear a gun shot but did start hearing the "oh shit, oh shit".

I flip back and there is straight blood gushing out the side of dudes head as they are fleeing the car. Never seen anything like it. Like something out of a movie. Looked almost fake the amount of blood gushing out.

my father in law accidentally shot my mother in law when they first got married. The story goes he was cleaning his gun and didn't clear the one in the chamber and it went off. I think it grazed her arm. But it's a huge family secret. My wife told me about it but I am not supposed to know about it. The shit that gets me about it is they are both pro guns. Since then he has grown quite the collection. Used to hunt in his younger days. It's funny though when you talk guns he always brings up irresponsible gun owners and talks about how responsible he is. Man I just want to bring up the incident like didn't you accidentally shoot your wife?

no matter how much training you get or experienced you are you will sometimes make a mistake. i think its different when folks are actually playing around with guns, doing something they know is not safe.

most of the accidents are probably due to being lazy though. like "eh i know they say dont do this but i will just be extra careful just so i dont have to take an extra step."

1. Drop the mag
2. Rack the slide

DONE! Your semiautomatic pistol is now safe.

One can even add in #3 to be super sure the gun is cleared:

3. Point in safe direction (like the ground with no one under you), pull trigger.



Owning a firearm means being responsible all the time.

I dont even handle guns very often but you clear the chamber physically and then do a visual check. Always assume the gun is loaded.
