The Caddilac ELR, Nissan Leaf (first Gen), First Gen Chevy Volt were all shit bombs because they were trying to approach the electric car through the eyes of ICE based vehicles.

Tesla is in a good position because they changed the game and approach electric vehicles from a clean sheet perspective

I still think they have a good 10 years before major manufacturers are really about to take their lunches.

tesla was major in getting electric cars accepted. i dont know what their place moving forward is. i hope they find a way to keep going for at least another decade. it seems musk is set on pushing electric forward and get rid of excuses for not switching all vehicles to electric.

if anything he is pushing us forward

it seems most of his companies are pushing boundaries and heavy on the R&D. does he have a stable business that he can keep going to for funds?

it makes sense that some of these companies will fail but he seems to have a bigger picture in mind. in the end a business needs to make a profit and he may need to find a way to stabilized tesla with outside support.
