I haven’t been able to go in with this plotter because we been sickly as hell these last few weeks
Wife and I shrugged at Savannah State but it might be a possibility if these numbers make sense. I think we will keep the house and rent it out. I got my first house thru an FHA and it’s in my name. I wonder if my wife can get one in her name if we bought a second house? The idea of owning multiple properties is intimidating but also feels like a boss move.

Friday is my last day at the job. Im excited to begin the next phase of my life as a business owner. I'm also scared because I'll be without healthcare for a while.

In reading that porn post - I thought about my grandchildren and their innocence. Nobody. Dude I last managed in October needed something approved by his direct manager. Which since october isn't me. Sent me an email, sent me a text, got a system notification then an email from his HR rep telling me I needed to approve it. As the fuck if. I told dude (hr) that I keep asking him and them to take me off this, that I can't change his name in the system, but that I'm not about to approve anything that I shouldn't be doing. So five months later they took me off. But that took five months.
Gonna take an internal posting starting Monday on detail, job I applied for and they hired someone else, dude act like he doing me a favor ... a favor would've been hiring me for the job that I was qualified for but we use details asa holding spot and then give the job to the person that was in regardless of best qualified. A smarter person would use it as an employee rental process and tryout, but we're not a smart organization. And so when/if I see another posting come up that I'm interested in or another job calls and offers internally I'm gone. Because work is me doing other people favors for a paycheck. No loyalty, I learned that the hard way in my youth and I'm not making that mistake again.
Meanwhile it's ALL internal postings until we see what the midterms entail. In THIS country as a black man you'd be foolish to try to disassociate politics with your employment security and/or options. A damn fool It wasn't but just 10 years ago I saw that first hand. I wasn't old enough to recognize it, but I saw it. When Hillary conceded, the white women in the office stopped speaking to me for a week. Not a word, no hello, no work related speaking, ignored me like we broke up. None of us had ever said a peep about politics at work to each other , but they knew and I didn't know any better and that's the game. And you gotta play it. I love my niece to death but she has definitely entered her cynical too cool for school High School senior phase which I see since she has been living with us.
So anyway all the family was together last night and my other niece actually organized the walk out at her school and then we learned my niece didn't participate at the one in her school.
I asked why and she said, "It wouldn't change anything. I didn't see the point. There are other things that should be done more important than a walkout".
That's when I got irrationally mad and had a lot of pointed questions:
"Well did you organize something better to do?" "Was the Civil Rights March on Washinton Pointless?" "Do you think it had an impact or changed anything?" "What's the difference between the March on Washington & this?"
I think she started to see my point and her mom wrapped up the discussion at this point but I can't stand do nothing cynicism against action oriented optimism. One group changes the world, the other group throws rocks and complains while it is getting done.

It's a big regret of mine not going.
But yeah, I am sure she saw herself as not being a follower by not walking out...and if she had a good basis for her stance I would have backed off.
But my problem was it wasn't a principal'd stance but a knee jerk reaction of I'm too cool to do what those kids are doing which puts here on the same side as these people:
