into the multitude of police opinions of what their role in public safety actually is.
There's one specific officer who seems to exemplify all that's wrong with the way policing works.

even if it wasn't surprising

seeing every cops reaction after watching the video ranging from "well, the officer was obviously scared", to "why is her first instinct to grab her phone?" to "this poor officer will be crucified in the media"... and how it seems people are going out of their way to find reasons to hate the police. literally nothing about this young man dying in front of his child, other than "it's unfortunate.. but"

of the series' episodes--it ticks a lot of boxes that feel like exploitation and poverty porn.
Though, my opinion changed after watching the entire series and thinking about the complete story.

The Trump election really showed the divide between blk and white cops.

the community they policed--at the least.
Most were surprisingly compassionate, and commendable, in explaining why they do their jobs.
Unlike near every white officers profiled. My opinion on them is the exact opposite. The bald-headed Captain is the only exception I saw, he's seemingly good police.

you can tell he consumes a healthy diet of am radio

he tragically murdered, has some shooters planning a retaliation--which keeps his head on a nervous swivel--and he just can't deal with the inner turmoil.
