"what happened yesterday?"

they were selling a bouquet of roses and a ballon for forty bucks at the market. not too many ladies at the office received flowers. These days everyone seems sick of each other.

me? I thought about him.
wondered what he may be doing
even tho he’s just like most men that hates Valentine’s Day
I suppose I was wondering if that had changed
oh...and we’re they “doing it”
lm positive he’s doing that...

that’s normal right?

Especially thanks to social media. Too much pressure, especially when a number of non-marriage relationships can be a bit nebulous. If I get/do something, then it becomes a "thing" - if I don't, then she feels left out and I'm a piece of shit. Too complicated a dance.

Streets won't let me chill.

But usually you get to a point where you don’t need to show your love with gifts.

Eating out is always good tho.

She drove some Uber, I went to work, came home and ate a Red Baron pizza. Got the kid a couple of records she wanted, some candy and a Sock Monkey.

She came home, we drank wine, watched the Olympics and some old Jack Benny show reruns and talked about bills.

The End

dude was like my model of what a man should be. Work hard, sacrifice to give your family everything they need, defend them at all cost and treat your wife like a queen. He was hands down the hardest working, most humble man I've ever known. He was the realest. I miss him so much.

I found a card online that said "thank you for being platonic with me" with a picture of plato.
Whoops.
We haven't slept in months though, and I've been doing even more stuff at work so I'm at about 60% At best most of the time.
But other than that we just listened to music and put together a puzzle.
Last year we played a two player co-op (lovers in a dangerous space time)
But this year we kept it lower key.
No donuts are forever this year (for us), kind of bummed about that.

I put on another show and it watched me.

Last of her name woke up at 3AM and she didn’t go back down until 5 and then the alarm went off.

We are too tired to even love on each other right now.

So every three hours of every day, feed/clean/pump
I've been back at work since 1/3 my wife is doing three days a week in the office and the other two days grandma comes down.
I do the 5am. So I wake up at five change/feed -then lift weights in the basement and then get ready for work, additionally im doing lower carbs and lower calories
AND THEN
For the last five work days I've had to drive as opposed to walk and metro and they've been ten hour days plus traffic. All a perfect storm that when I called myself waking up this morning I couldn't open my eyes like I was doing a bad Tyson beckford Impersonation.

Her exes were bums, her ex husband is trash
This new guy I like, but some of the early complaints about him (from her) was that he's too detached, can't take of himself, and doesn't want kids

You choose people that make you happy in some form and hope that grows to more or that the time that passes while you're together isn't bad.
I've had my own share of decreasing happiness and while I wouldn't call them bad people we weren't good for each other
And I'm sure that's the way it is with her exes too
But additionally, some of that conflict brings out the worst in people and as her friend I'm only privy to the initial happiness and then the fall out and in that, they've only been trash to me.

Fun enough.

I listened to a lot of music and spent a lot of time out in the rain.

Vacillated between wanting to die or just driving west until I had to stop and get a room.

Settled for listening to jazz and eating ice cream.

I don't think it's for you. Or most people, actually.

People love companionship too much for all the unhappily single people to be dying alone. It's just timing.

Now, ME on the other hand... lol. I will die alone in a small house with all my animals.
I used to think I'd be unfound for a few days and at least they could eat my body, but
if I live to be old, then there will be dog walkers, etc. that come daily who will find me.
So there's that.

We're still friends so it wouldn't have been weird on some other day but I felt so dumb lol. I'm glad she told me because I just felt like getting out of the house and was going to go and eat at the bar by myself anyway if she said no. That would have been sad as fuck.

I can’t imagine having dinner with my ex...
I can’t imagine seeing his face

I also don’t believe you can be friends with someone you once loved...

funny. I watch this couple on HGTV (flip or flop Nashville) they used to married but now just work together. Said they made better business partners than a couple. I watch because I can’t imagine that either lol

maybe I’ll learn something from watching....

...actually, it was great! It was great because it was a total step-back from the normal $400-$500 evening. The wiz said she didn't want anything (outside of cards and maybe some chocolate). Laid the flowers and cards out before I left for work. Gave her the chocolates (twice...sike nah..sike yeah...Ha). Thus, the consternation of "V-Day" was almost non-apparent! I scooped the lil man from daycare and daughter from dance (they got cards and candy). Came home to what looked like 3 20 oz. rib-eyes (which will prolly last through the weekend..gonna make some bomb steak-n-cheeses and watch NBA stuff). Watched my Zards then GS/Portland later. Twas a good night! Thankyou Lort!

It takes all kinds to make up a world, son. -My pops

I just live for the comments -Da wiz

we tend to avoid the hallmark days and celebrate stuff before or after or very minimally... I played it cool and did nothing (except pay for pizza).. she surprised me with one of those custom printed books she filled up with our story.. I am moved.. I'm so flipping lucky. I cry just thinking about how lucky I am.

my friend found out her lover’s cheating. we had a few glasses of wine and she’s currently asleep on my sofa. damn. how I remember those days except, I’m not sure if she’s strong enough to recover. she’s getting all kind of advice from people. Only thing I told her was that it took me three years before I was strong enough to walk away...

God help her...

after my friend got up the strength to leave last night I found myself not being able to sleep. I won’t be the kind of friend that tells her, “what you need to do”. I’ve sat and listened to others tell her that. I’m afraid she may not be able to receive what I have to say. I’m afraid to share all of my story; yet, she needs me.

young woman
successful
gorgeous...model like
and shes been humbled

I don’t want her to think I’m telling her to settle...
