"Rakim = Street Harassment "

Come on God, you really telling a woman "You don't really look good, I hope you have a bad day" because she ain't trying to hear your street hollar?

Why don't you tell her to smile while you at it. SMH.

Don't mind me, just sharing song lyrics that I hear while I am older an "wiser" that are a bit more jarring now than they were when I heard them in my youth.

Even when I was younger those lyrics made me think they he was upset , said that, and realized how fucking stupid it was - so he put it in a song to show he has flaws too.

Plus, that song was awful. The only "worst things" from that album are the lame Don't Sweat the Technique remixes:

TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

Like.....everything from L.A.

"I never had my dick sucked by a man before...but you gon be the first, you little trick ass hoe! And you can tell me just how it taste! But right before I nut, I shoot some piss in your face!"

It's straight jail talk, but still.

I'm actually still immature enough to laugh at ALL Suga Free lyrics, though, no matter how horrid they are. Feminists would have a field day if he was out now.

Can't help it re: Suga Free. Dude is hysterical. He makes horrible things sound funny, what can I say. I loved his verse on Quik's "Nobody"

i still love that shit. Quik really gave him some fire beats. My son loves that shit. But I can't let him listen to it because it is so vulgar. Like the intro to Why You Bullshittin'. When it starts Our father who art in heaven, Quik gave me a beat now Pomona's on the set now. When that starts my son goes wild in the back seat and so do I. But I gotta change it once he goes into the first verse. I think the only one I can play for him is Fly Fo Life. But damn those beats are so good but his lyrics are ridiculous. That 3rd verse on Why you Bullshittin is HILARIOUS!

If we're playing the problematic old lyrics game, this line from the same verse is a bit more worrisome. Do your googles.

routinely mixed it up with each other. LL Cool J used to come to my Harlem housing project and kick it with a big time drug dealer.

I have to assume Rakim didn't think Ben was of guilty of some of the terrible things he's been accused of.
