Heya folks. I'm kinda starting to get into the "acoustic soul" genre, but all I know/have is India.Arie's "Voyage to India". Aside from her, what other artists and/or albums should I look into? Thanks!

but that probably says more about my tastes than it does the music.
But there are a few acts going back 30 years or so that are worth mentioning in this conversation that made music I think fits into the genre
One of the earliest folk festivals I ever went to (1989? 1990?) featured Casselberry-Dupree, who were unfortunately lumped into 'women's music' and never really went anywhere. they were good though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma1AwgEauOc Ms. Casselberry is apparently a professor of Africana Studies at Bowdoin.
When I saw Casselberry-Dupree, their bassist was the inimitable Toshi Reagon. Toshi's first album came out a year or two later and I recall it as being pretty great. She's still active with her band Big Lovely https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRWTf2FXik4
Another guy who is more of a classic soul sound but strummed on an acoustic guitar is the late great Ted Hawkins. He did my favorite version of Just My Imagination: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUYXs8GSxPw

with the acknowledgement that not all Black dudes with acoustics are acoustic soul at all.
That said.
I like Paul Ubana Jones quite a bit - he's from NZ but if I recall correctly is half Black (dad was a serviceman, I think). Acoustic guitarist but worships at the altar of Hendrix, and excels at creating a great percussive groove on just his acoustic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRIUrhNZBok that's the title track from his first record which was sometime around 1991 or so I think.
Vance Gilbert's more a folky singer-songwriter (and has plenty of songs/jokes about people not getting that) but he does okay with a soulful ballad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBdmZIx-oj4 it's too bad he shot that in his bathrobe though... looks like a crazy guy
and then there was the late great Odetta, a legend, not particularly well remembered today unless you happen to be a breakbeat specialist in which case you probably know Hit or Miss: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyPKxkH3vB8
