Obviously, any young man in 70's Hollywood would be exposed to the gay scene in the Hollywood showbiz 70's era.

I think the song was supposed to depict that "reality" and not be "pro-gay"

so a "controversial" album cut on a "concept" album would not be "that big of a deal"


It would be "analyzed" in the "context" of the overall album concept.
