"Did Luther ever say "She" or "her" in his songs? "
I don't know all the words to his songs but I looked up Never Too Much and it made me wonder. That's some slick writing if he was able to pull that off his whole career.

but of course at the time he was popping I was all about rap and pop songs.
I know most of his songs but now when I hear them I’m amazed and angry I slept on him.
I can’t even say I slept on him but I took his songs for granted. I never sat down and analyzed them like I did with Prince, Stevie or EWF.
