"Regret"

My coworker copped a Benz... she already regrets it. I think the commercials gassed her up.

I regret not putting more money on 3 when it hit at the roulette table over the break. Every time I play it I tell myself to just play that number big and say fuck it until it hits.

I also regret not going to school for industrial arts instead of industrial engineering. College loans yo.

Last but not least I regret not being more selective with my sex life back in college. I have no fux.. wait. I have a lot of fux, too many.

Like product design? Are you in the business? If so, I'm kind of the opposite I went for Industrial Design (art based) and wish I had some engineering background. Same situation with the loans though and I'm not in the business lol

Somehow I was convinced I should be an engineer since I had good math scores but me and calculus don’t mix. Also wasn’t ready for the freedom of college.

I went back to school and got a degree in graphic design. No matter how much I partied I could still finish my work.

yup me too, always dreamed of designing concept cars. i'm thinking of maybe pursuing it more from a sci-fi point of view. like start aiming towards designing cars and products in alternate worlds and/or different time.

wouldn't hurt to get into a career focused on product design though.

i think im actually pretty good at/built for math. i just wanted to be artsy and went for it.

ended up with a bachelors of fine art, focus on product design. landed in a "graphic design" job doing prepress for packaging. its interesting but uhm not in the same category.

I got hot playing a bunch of different numbers and over the course of a 20 minute super-hot streak I had pocketed like $1800 in $100 chips. I left the regular $1 chips and some $5s on the table to keep playing a little more, but kept pocketing the 100s so I wouldn't blow my winnings. After my hot streak slowed down I walked away with $2200 in $100 chips in my pocket.

My friend was chasing hard, was down like $1100 cumulatively from that nite and the nite before. So he was asking me for $100 chips and was planning to Venmo me after if he didn't hit. Was just dropping the chips between the 00 and the 0, praying for a hit. He owed me $300 when the 0 hit. So he paid me back and still had significant winnings (someone else do the math). Then he did it again, and hit again, this time 00. At that point we were feeling mad lucky but he decided to walk away. So I considered doing one more drop, $100 on #17 (my mom's favorite #) but decided against it.

What happened ? 17 hit, of course. So I regret not putting $100 on 17 like my conscience (probably my mom from up above) was yelling at me to do. Fuck.

Fucking motherfucking fuck.

$2200 ain't bad but another $3500 would have been better.

I don’t big like that because I hate losing money but I know I can’t win big unless I bet big.

One time I was hot. I called into work because I made my paycheck in a few hours. Even then I wasn’t betting real big.

But that nite I was adequately banged up and had lost many of my sober inhibitions so I was betting bigger than normal. But that said, I wasn't betting *that* much bigger. Just big enough, apparently.

Another one of our friends also hipped me to a strategy I hadn't previously known about so employing that helped me stay alive in the early stages, longer than I would have had I been playing the way I had typically played in the past.

The odds of losing my money are just to high for me.

That's why I stay at the craps table doing the boring pass line bets lol

Saw some dudes drop a hundred dollar chip on the outside top third. He hit. But then his friends tried twice after him and lost both times.

Fuuuuck that.

One time I want to go with like $500 and go hard... which ain’t really much but I wish I had a “ions give a fuck” if I lose this money attitude so I could be more aggressive. Most I bet was 5 bucks on a number and I hit a few times.

Any time I'm at a casino and looking to spend money, it means I'm drunk so a (seemingly, at least) complex game like Craps just isn't possible. I prefer roulette which requires zero analytical thought and is mostly just a guessing game.

The strategy my friend taught me was to effectively hedge your bets by putting the minimum amount on red or black (choose one color at the beginning and stick with it), then putting the minimum on 2 of the 3 "2 to 1" spaces at the bottom of the board. I never really even noticed those 2 to 1 spaces but essentially what you're doing is all but ensuring that you don't lose every dollar on the table on any given hand. It's still *possible* it's just way less likely.

So with that strategy I stayed alive longer than I would have employing my typical strategy of no strategy at all. Haha. And it paid off.

I can regret something AND learn from it. It's not one or the other.

I usually learn some shit from failed relationships but I still regret some of the choices I made or ignoring signs while I was in them.

Might have had to go without the scholarship, but I'd have fucked around and been in the league for a few years. Didn't really see eye-to-eye with the coach of the school I went to (and that's an understatement).

Noooooes.

Really tho I just wish I could replace some of my 6’s with 9’s but I was young and trying to bust. Moreso that other thehead made me think about some of the girls I gave too much credit who were fine as hell. For some reason I used to think fine women didn’t fart or fuck without a lot of work.

I get the idea from some home girls. They ALWAYS used fake names at the club.

I had some paper sitting in the bank and a broker called me but I shrugged him off.

I was scared it would continue to go down. Really wish I threw a few G’s at it.

33. "I regret my coworker"
In response to Reply # 0

A group of us were having a conversation about cars. She came out of nowhere asking if they still make cars with cloth seats.

Don't know why she asked but ehh whatever. She drives a 3 series, which in my opinion is nice, but not nice enough to be so separated from reality about seat material.

Hubby use to be a big Bimmer fan so we've had a 3, 5 and 7 series (didn't mention that tho). So for the sake of conversation I asked (because I have experience with them) her if she had certain features in her car. She snapped at me and said I didn't have to one up her and I called me annoying.

I just walked off and didn't say a word. I was saving myself and job by not busting her in the lip. Since then I haven't spoken to her.

Now I regret not calling her insecure and telling her to fuck off.

Toss out a veiled insult:

>A group of us were having a conversation about cars. She
>came out of nowhere asking if they still make cars with cloth
>seats.

and when you respond:

>So for the sake of
>conversation I asked (because I have experience with them) her
>if she had certain features in her car.

She plays the victim:

>She snapped at me and
>said I didn't have to one up her and I called me annoying.

Best move:

>I just walked off and didn't say a word.

About this:

>Now I regret not calling her insecure and telling her to fuck
>off.

Don't, because then she'd "REALLY" be the victim. Best move is not to even play the game with people like that.

The other coworkers that were standing around all agreed with me.

Found out that she's acted out like that with a group of my coworkers as well. She never officially apologized either.

She apparently even went so far to use the race card - 'it's because I'm black' bullshit.

on their deathbed instead of the things that they did? I can't think of it now but I hear it a lot and I always think it is B.S.

My list of regrets is so long I wouldn't know where to begin. Most of it is stuff other people wouldn't fret, but I do.

The list is long an always expanding. I want to look back and say "I am glad I didn't do that' more often.

minding my own.. still a little high from the morning (and as a result socially awkward lol)

In walks this THICK blonde girl who locks eyes with me as she passes and smiles

Inner monologue: Imma say something to her when she comes out. Imma say something to her when she comes out. Imma ...

She walks out. I look down at my book.

This happens often
