I came across this article about okp on complex from 2013 and couldnt find a post about it. Interesting to read how the website got started. It has feedback from the "behind the scenes" folks, quest, talib and common.

have you come across any more articles/videos etc about okp that are worth checking out?

i think this place really was/is special, might be more low-key now but its good to see 15 and others still pop in from time to time. especially great to see that some board members are doing big things.

I remember being on theroots.com, which was actually a pretty well run site, and the announcement was made that okayplayer would be rolling out

i think i came in when it was at its peak but definitely feel like i missed so much.

OKP was so daunting, i spent most my time on jurassic5.com and mosdefinitely i think i got to like W status once on here lol

i just found a used dvd of it at amoeba last month in LA and had never seen it despite being knowing folks who made it, being here and at meet-up since like 99-00. i also picked up like my fifth copy of "do you want more?!?!" for all of $5! haha
