"The Punisher (Netflix) is like John Wick with a great backstory and more"
layers.
I wasn't a huge fan of Wick because of the lack of layers and backstory (how did he get into this? where does the organization come from? etc) Plus it was mainly about the action and killing... which is entertaining and all, but not *all* I wanna see.
If you like that John Wick kind of action, you'll love this. Be warned that this is not a "superhero" show... at ALL.

While I liked her in other roles outside of the netflix shows, she's been insufferable in the universe..it felt like half of Daredevil season 2 was her complaining.

After his family was murdered and police were unable to help him find justice, he became The Punisher to avenge their murder and to "wage a one-man war on crime." This actually makes him a criminal in the eyes of the law as well. But why am I telling you this online when it's googlable? Here: http://marvel.com/universe/Punisher_(Frank_Castle)
I'm not sure if you remember the story of the Kentucky officers who put his emblem on their cars, but it'd be really weird if his gimmick was killing heroes lol. It's still weird since he operates outside the law... but hell, guess the officers were just being honest... to some degree anyway. Anywho... just in case you missed that story: http://www.kentucky.com/news/state/article134722264.html

**************** TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

I have never been truly satisfied with any of the punisher film or TV depictions some have been close and this series is probably about the best so far but overall I was not loving the whole series.. the story was not bad but neither was it incredibly intriguing... I had big hopes and I'm not dissing it but it fell short..
to start off it had me totally convinced and sold buy the time the scene with the sledghammer and Tom Waits "Hell Broke Luce" but It never managed to recapture or exceed that moment so for me the whole thing peaked right away...
I am somewhat interested to see another season though, with the whole what I assume was a Jigsaw origin.
